Alice (Marisa Tomei) and Phil Simmons (Tom Everett Scott) have to go away for the weekend for one of Phil’s work events. A weekend alone in 5 years. They ask Alice’s parents (Billy Crystal and Bette Midler) to take care of their 3 kids while they are gone. However things do not really go as plan when the kids and the grandparents know different ways of parenting.
