Hi my Champion followers! I thank you for giving me your support by pressing the ‘follow’ button. I have had fun writing reviews for every movie I’ve watched since taking that one film course in 2012(?). But now, I must say farewell to this blog. Not to say that I will never post again – I might for the films that have impacted me greatly, but for the most part, this is goodbye. I recently heard somewhere, of someone (very specific I know), saying a quote along the lines of: “If you have a lot of passions, pick one, and discard the rest. They are just distractions.” I can’t seem to find who said the quote, or what the quote was exactly. If you know of what I am talking about, please comment below!
Anyway, that is what made me realize I spend quite some time writing these reviews, and it is hindering my focus on other things. I need to narrow my focus, in order to achieve the things I want to in life. So ta-ta, my readers. I hope your life is going the way you want it to. If not, change your focus!
Peace and love,
I’m realizing that my site is gaining more visitors due to my posting reviews on IMDb as well as on gambitcon.com. So for those of you who are new, welcome to my site! And for those of you returning, you may have noticed that the format has changed quite a bit. I hope this renovation makes it somewhat easier to navigate. The main addition to this site are the drop down menus on the pages, shown at the top right of this page. I will continue to try and write a movie review every week. If not, you may also look forward to my weekly quotes which is in a drop-down menu on the ‘About Me’ page.
Woot! My 300th post! And since today is a Sunday — which means it’s quotes day, here’s a quote.
If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.
Hi my Champions!
Here’s an unexpected turn of events- my month long trip to Beijing has been cut short and now I’m back in Malaysia! When I first got to Beijing, there were times when I was freezing and kind of missed Malaysian weather. When I touched down today though…I take back every time I said/thought that. And when I got home and had to start unpacking – I was sweating buckets. Literally. It was like I had just won an F1 race and my teammates poured a bucket over my head. Maybe that was a bit TMI huh?
Anyways, I’m back and don’t really know what to do now. *sigh* I’m afraid that I haven’t been in school for so long that my brain has turned my memory making neurons off. I have been forgetting a lot of stuff recently, it’s quite worrisome. Especially since I pride myself in having a good memory.
Alright, peace out my Champions!
Whats up my little worms!…mmm Champions? Angels? Well seeing as I don’t have much of a fan base let alone frequent readers, we’ll cross that hurdle when we get to it.
Anyways, that’s right: I am in China. Beijing to be exact.
I was afraid I would not be able to access my blog because before now I couldn’t. But then I added the https:// and it worked! Yay! Still don’t have Facebook or Youtube though…so when my reviews come out this month, don’t expect the trailers to be there. [Actually, VPN solves the problem]
The weather here is pretty cold, but still bearable – it’s still autumn after all. However the pollution is terrible! You can see the fog acutely and wherever you look. Its like the Indonesians are burning their forests but this time the fog isn’t drifting with the wind, it’s just like stuck in the clouds. Not good.
It’ll be a month long holiday, whoopee. But not so good because I’m staying in a service apartment and don’t really need to do much so I’m predicting that the pounds will just add themselves on. Already I feel like I’ve eaten a very lot and probably gained a few…time to exercise!
I’ve also been shopping a lot…can you blame me? It’s like everything was “Made in China”. Plus I need winter clothes for when I go to Canada to further my studies.
Anyways just wanted to update my blog and whoever might be reading. I havn’t been watching any movies yet but I have just started Smallville. I know I’m terribly slow but later is better than never!
Peace out my Champions! (Yes I think I’m going to stick with that)
Oh and Happy Halloween!!
Movies that I look forward to in this remaining year.
1. The Heat (out 27th June- in my country)
Starring Sandra Bullock as an FBI agent and Melissa McCarthy as a foul-mouthed cop, this unlikely team find themselves joining forces to catch the bad guy. Bullock’s character reminds me of her other film Ms. Congeniality albeit a bit more low key and less assertive. I first saw McCarthy in Bridesmaids and she was funny, with all her random comments. By watching the trailer it seems to guarantee a fun filled comedy. Can’t wait!
I’m going to start writing a short review, which would only be a sentence or so short because who am I kidding, I don’t get many views on this site. So I’ll be adding a short review and then my normal long-ish review after that.
Just to let…no-one in particular know about the change in format.
(in 45 minutes but I’m getting off now)
Yes I am online at the end of 2012. (I’m such a sad person)
See you guys next year. =D
